In 2022, Baladna, in cooperation with Coventry University (UK), released a new study entitled "Violence and Crime Among Palestinian Youth in Israel - Factors and Contexts". The study examines the phenomenon of violence and crime by focusing on its causes and forms of manifestations among Arab Palestinian youth in Israel. Youth between the age of 18-30 constitute the group most affected by violence and crime in the Arab Palestinian society in Israel, exemplified by the highest percentage of deaths among all other age groups.
A research team consisting of seven female and male researchers worked on the study for a period of two years. Their work is based on qualitative research methods, such as interviews and focus groups, with additional secondary qualitative research methods, namely visual and text analysis of social media posts and videos. The research sample was concentrated in five towns: Jaffa, Tayybeh, Umm al-Fahm, Nazareth and Acre.
