Attached  Baladna  report “Palestinian Youth Voices Suppressed during Gaza War” summarizes the actions taken by the government, institutions, and public within Israel to hush Palestinian citizens dissent over the war on Gaza.

 

Over the last month, Baladna has witnessed the suppression of dissent within Israel from government authorities, institutions and mainstream Israeli society. Palestinian youth have voiced their opposition to Israel’s continuing military offensive in Gaza on social media and through protesting. Their opposition has been met with censorship from all levels of Israeli society. 

 

The rise in racist speech and violence from the Israeli public, led by the extreme right, shows a very dangerous trend in the politics of Israel and an unsure future for Israel’s Palestinian minority.
