Non –profit organizations rely on resource development to address their needs for funds and human resources in order to carry out their projects and realize their goals. Work in resource development can be both challenging and rewarding. It demands a high level of commitment and responsibility on the one hand but also offers the opportunity to work from home (at least part of the time) with flexible hours. It involves many diverse skills including good communication skills, marketing skills, interpersonal skills, and can be at times very creative. Shatil is offering a 12 meeting (54 hours in all) training course for beginners in this field that will also include a meeting on practical advice on how to find a job in this field. Participants completing the course will receive a certificate from Shatil.

Goals:
The participants will become acquainted with the world of philanthropy and the different types of funding available for non profit organizations;
The participants will understand the function and responsibilities of the fundraiser in a non-profit organization and the responsibilities of the organization in regards to fundraising;
The participants will gain valuable knowledge and develop practical skills for resource development.
Target Audience:
This is a beginner's course targeting anyone who has up to six months of experience in RD and wants to develop more professionally in the field or those who have no experience but are interested in entering into the profession.
Requirements:
Good working knowledge of English as a second language or native English speaker.
Commitment to attending all of the 12 meetings and completing required home work assignments

Shatil Haifa Office: 102 Haatzmaut Street (opposite the Train station Hamercaz Hashmona)
12 weekly meetings on Mondays starting January 30th until April 23rd from 14:00-18:30 (excluding April 9)

1500 NIS (scholarships are available for participants from organizations that receive consulting from Shatil)
