The Role of National Courts in Applying International

Adalah is very pleased to invite you to a presentation of the book "The Role of National Courts in Applying International Humanitarian Law" (Oxford University Press, 2014) by Sharon Weill.
The event will take place on Monday, 24 November 2014 at 12:00 pm at Adalah’s office in Haifa, 94 Yafo Street. A light lunch will be provided at 13:00 following the lecture and discussion.
Dr. Sharon Weill is an international lawyer specialized in international humanitarian law (IHL). Her particular field of interest is the relationship between international and domestic law, the politics of international law, the judicial enforcement mechanisms of international law and the law of military occupation. She conducted field research in Israel and the OPT (most notably in the Israeli military courts) and in the Balkans (Serbian war crimes chamber). She often gives seminars for NGO practitioners and she wrote two reports for the Fédération Internationale des Droits de L’Homme (FIDH).
